When we opened Plymouth’s only award winning bicycle shop, Rockets & Rascals, in Plymouth’s historic Barbican quarter in the Spring of 2013 it made an immediate impact on the local cycling scene.

Three years on the Bicycle Emporium and Cafe is already achieving what it set out to do, get people riding bikes. We opened our second Emporium in Poole, Dorset in the Summer of 2014 and also added a second location in Plymouth, Little Rascals in the beautiful Royal William Yard. Our Emporiums cater for cyclists of all kinds but we really get our excitement from getting people to try something new. Whether that’s equipping a sixty year old lady to ride around the world or hooking a three year old up with their first balance bike.

The mainstay of our stores is the cafe, serving up great food, cakes and of course the kind of coffee that has earned us an amazing reputation for quality. Our workshops are well equipped to deliver top quality repairs in a timely fashion. We can handle the basics but are qualified to carry out repairs on the latest Shimano Di2 electronic systems. With a regular programme of cycling events and in-store events we work hard to make a difference to the cycling communities on our patch. We’re more than just a retailer, we’re an active part of the cycling scene.
